About

Located in the southeast area of Calgary along MacLeod Trail, adjacent to the communities of Walden and Legacy, Township is a 61.78-acre mixed-use development which when completed, will have approximately 1.5 million sq ft of retailers, restaurants, offices, hotel, and residences. Inspired by traditional prairie aesthetics and brought together with modern design, Township showcases Royop’s unique vision for an elevated and engaging shopping experience.  

The first 300,000 sq ft (Phase 1) opened in 2021 and is currently over 99% leased with major retailers including Sobeys, Winners, Petsmart, Toys R Us, Wine & Beyond, Dollarama and Big Sky Fitness. In addition to over 40 major retailers (and counting!), Township Phase 1 also demonstrates Royop’s commitment to community building and placemaking through the provision of public art, and multi-purpose outdoor space, as well as the walkable and accessible nature of the site.
